Fleets running tight margins can't afford the prohibition notice either. Keeping a minimum of two unused rolls per cab is the easy answer; remembering to actually do it is the hard part.

Thermal paper degrades in heat and UV. Keep rolls sealed in their wrapper, in the cab door pocket or glovebox, away from direct sunlight. Roadside printouts that need to be kept should be filed in a folder out of light — exposed prints can fade within 12 months. Genuine paper from us carries a sealed 24-month shelf life from manufacture.
